Day 2 of the Lone Star Poker Series Texas State Main Event at Champions Poker Club was one to remember as 218 hopefuls started daydreaming of the grand prize. When the dust settled at the end of the day after 14 hours of play, just 17 remained.
Leading the way in chips to end the day was Jared Hemingway who bagged 11,325,000. He started to accumulate a large stack with eight tables left as his chip counts rose to one of the higher ones. After a slight dip, he was able to rise again during the last three tables and put himself in pole position at the end of the day.

Day 2 Action
A player who had one of the more notable days was second place bagger, Christopher Doan who finished with a cool 10,000,000. The start-of-the-day chip leader was involved in many big hands throughout the day, rapidly rising his stack early, plateauing for a while, and then shooting up again late in the day.
Michael Wang, Gabriel Andrade, and Nick Shkolnik rounded out the top 5 in chips, each bagging large stacks as well in the process.
WSOP Main Event winners Chris Moneymaker and Greg Raymer were among those to hit the rail early in the day and for the likes of Matt Berkey and Darren Elias, a similar fate awaited.
