Finnish grinder Andreas Nasman is the latest GGPoker player to win the Super MILLON$ twice during their career when they came out on top of a 102-strong field and walked away with $221,651. Nasman sat down at the final table as the chip leader and was the only player standing after an intense 2.5-hour final table.
The final table action was streamed on the GGPoker YouTube channel where Jeff Gross was joined by the back-to-back $50,000 Poker Players Championship winner, Dan "Jungleman" Cates. The embedded video is below the final table payouts and is worth watching for Cates' reactions to some of the play and for his critique of the various hands.

7 | Elton "nothingworks" Tsang | Maldives | $50,284 |
8 | Niklas Astedt | Norway | $39,270 |
9 | Andras Nemeth | Austria | $30,668 |
Andras Nemeth was the final table's shortest stack and the first finalist out of the door. Nemeth had improved his stack a little because he sat down with a mere nine big blinds but was up to almost 13 when he open shoved from early position with pocket sevens. Andrii Derzhypilskyi called from a couple of seats along with a superior pair of tens in the hole. The tens held and Nemeth bowed out.
Five-time Super MILLION$ champion Niklas Astedt was the next player heading for the showers. Nasman min-raised to 60,000 from the hijack with ace-queen before quickly calling the 439,706 jam from Astedt, who revealed the dominated ace-nine. A king-high board was no help to Astedt and he busted in eighth.
Seventh-place went to Elton "nothingworks" Tsang, the winner of the 2016 €1 million Big One For One Drop. Tsang was down to 12 big blinds when he found pocket nines under the gun. Those 12 big blinds went into the middle of the felt and found a caller in the shape of fellow short stack "ShangHigh" and their ace-queen. Pocket nines remained the best hand up until an ace landed on the river, eliminating Tsang from the tournament.
Another player crashed out during the same blind level, Yen-Liang "yao_poker" Yao being that player. The action folded to Yao on the button, and he ripped in 22.5 big blinds with ace-seven. Wiktor Malinowski called with pocket tens in the small blind, and Arsenii Malinov folded ace-eight in the big blinds. The five community cards fell king-high, which meant Yao's participation in this event was over.
Malinowski was the next star to find themselves void of chips despite him earlier helping himself to Yao's stack. Malinowski had built a big enough stack to be the chip leader with five players remaining, but then ran pocket tens into the kings of Malinov in a blind-versus-blind and found himself back down to less than 20 big blinds. It was another clash with Malinov that saw Malinwoski heading to the showers. Malinov min-raised to 80,000 under the gun with ace-seven of diamonds. Malinowski called out of the big blind with ace-eight, and the flop fell jack-trey-eight with two diamonds. Malinowski checked, Malinov bet 160,000, and Malinowski jammed for 685,090, which Malinov called. The flush came in on the turn, and Malinowski was gone.
Ukraine's Derzhypilskyi busted almost immediately after Malinowski. Malinov min-raised to 80,000 from the button, which Nasman three-bet to 360,000 with pocket kings in the small blind. Derzhypilskyi four-bet to 900,000 from the big blind, folding out Malinov, but Nasman was going nowhere. Nasman raised enough to put his opponent all-in, and Derzhypilskyi obliged by calling off the 1,009,665 chips he had behind with pocket jacks. Nasman's kings remained true and he soared into lead with only three players remaining.
After losing six players in the opening 45 minutes, it took another hour before the player count was reduced again. With blinds of 50,000/100,000/12,500a, Nasman limped in from the small blind with pocket tens and instantly called when "ShangHigh" shoved for a shade over ten big blinds with ace-queen suited. An eight-high board sent the Super MILLION$ heads-up.
Nasman held a slender lead going into his one-on-one battle with Malinov but then extended his lead substantially. However, Nasman couldn't shake off his opponent until almost half an hour into the clash. The final hand was a coinflip. Malinov min-raised to 320,000, Nasman responded with a raise to 960,000, which Malinov pumped up to 3,845,552, putting himself all-in. Nasman called and showed ace-queen of spades, which was flipping against pocket sixes. An ace on the flop ultimately sent Malinov home in second place and left Nasman to enjoy that winning feeling in another Super MILLION$ event.
