SCOOP 2021 Day 13: Patrick “pads1161” Leonard Among SCOOP Champs on Sunday
2023-04-08 14:08:21
On the third 2021 PokerStars Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) Sunday of the series, twelve winners were crowned with two big names standing out as Patrick "pads1101" Leonard and "WhatIfGod" were victorious during another bustling Sunday night on PokerStars.
British grinder Leonard is a regular sight at the tables and won the fourth SCOOP-title of his career in SCOOP-57-H: $1,050 NLHE [Freezeout, Afternoon Deep Stack] for $60,953. Leonard defeated a 324-player field with such luminaries as Dante "dantegoyaF" Goya (2nd), the red-hot Joao "Naza114" Vieira (5th), and Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford (7th) at the final table.
With the victory, Leonard strengthened his bid to win the Player of the Series leaderboard. Being more than halfway through the series, Leonard jumped ahead of the Swedish end bosses Niklas "Lena900" Astedt and Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson to take the lead on the High leaderboard.
Leonard is also sitting in second on the Overall Player of the Series leaderboard, behind Jussi "calvin7v" Nevanlinna. For more information about the SCOOP leaderboards, check out PokerStars.com.
