It's been quite a few days for veteran poker vlogger Brad Owen as he took down the ClubWPT bounty event he was hosting went on to finish runner-up in a World Poker Tour (WPT) Seminole Hard Rock Tampa event for his biggest live score to date.

The victory and deep run come a few months after Owen signed on as a WPT ambassador, a role that has seen him travel to various WPT stops and host his signature meet-up cash games.

Winning His Own Freeroll

On Aug. 28, Owen hosted and played a ClubWPT bounty freeroll that offered players a chance to eliminate the ambassador and earn a $2,500 WPT Prime Championship passport, while a $12,000 WPT passport to the WPT World Championship in December was reserved for the winner.

The online event drew a massive field of 2,154 runners, and not a single one of them was able to bust Owen to take his bounty and earn the WPT passport and he was left standing after nearly six hours of play.

But keeping the two WPT passports didn't sit right with Owen and, in the days that followed, he and WPT agreed to reward the $12,000 passport to second-place finisher William Hanes of Colorado and the $2,500 passport bounty to third-place finisher Don Butler of Ontario.

"I am so pumped to have won the WPT World Championship Bounty on ClubWPT. When it finished, I was in shock over taking down a field of over two thousand players," Owen said in a WPT press release. "Big thank you to all the players who entered the tournament. I'm really happy that the second and third-place finishers will each be receiving a WPT passport.”

"Best Run of My Life"

After winning the freeroll, Owen headed to Florida for WPT Seminole Hard Rock Tampa and played a $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em event that drew 116 entrants and generated $112,520 in prize money.

Owen was close to clinching his second victory in just a few days but went out in second for $20,530, his biggest live tournament score to date. According to live updates, Owen fell to Tampa native Haung Wong, a recreational player who in turn earned $33,190 for his biggest score.

If that weren't enough of a hot streak for Owen, he also noted on Twitter that he had a "big cash game win" at Bellagio the day before he took down the freeroll, beginning what he said has been "by far the best run of my life."

What's Next for Brad

In addition to his WPT ambassador responsibilities, Owen is keeping busy with a number of events coming up at The Lodge, an Austin card room he owns with Doug Polk and Andrew Neeme, ahead of the $1.5 million guaranteed Fall Mayhem Series.

On Sept. 5, the three content creators will be playing in a live-streamed cash game at The Lodge, which will be available to watch on The Lodge Live YouTube page.

The next day, Owen, Polk and Neeme will host a $1/$2 meet-up game, giving low-stakes grinders a shot to win a big pot off one of the content creators. To get a seat in the meet-up game, visit PokerAtlas.
