Ravid Garbi and Niklas Astedt both walked away with more than $530,000 after chopping a super high roller event online at GGPoker. The talented duo struck a deal when heads-up in the $25,500 Sunday Million SHR tournament, which resulted in them sharing more than $1 million of the $2,600,000 prize pool.
A field of 104 entries meant the tournament paid out 15 places. Mikita Badziakouski was the unfortunate soul who burst the money bubble. Superstars including Guillaume Nolet, Andras Nemeth, Juan Dominguez, and final table bubble boy Elio Fox secured a slice of the prize pool.
Benjamin Rolle was the final table’s first casualty. Rolle’s ninth-place exit came with a $65,102 payout. Marius Gierse then fell in eighth for $86,205, which was the last prize not to weigh in at six figures.
Isaac Haxton banked $114,147 for his seventh-place finish while Cyprus’ "pitrasyan" collected $151,147 after they came unstuck in sixth. Fifth-place and $200,140 went to Nick Petrangelo, with Christian Rudolph walking away with $265,013 after busting in fourth.
Brazilian star Yuri Dzivielevski ran out of steam and fell in third, a finish worth $350,914. Dzivielevski’s exit left Astedt heads-up against Garbi. The duo agreed to a deal before Garbi went on to defeat the Swedish online poker legend in the one-on-one battle.

Ami Barer Banks $173K Score
Ami Barer helped himself to a $173,260 score in the $2,100 buy-in Super MILLION$ Omaholic Bounty event at GGPoker. The high stakes tournament drew in a 556-strong crowd who created a guarantee-busting $1,112,000 prize pool. Half of the pot went on the head of each entrant with the top 50 finishers sharing the other 50%.
Dozens of elite grinders finished inside the money places but fell short of the seven-handed final table. Special mentions have to go to 15th place finish Andras Nemeth who won $25,920 of which $20,328 came via bounty payments. Also, Ben Wilinofsky crashed out in tenth place for $24,928 with $19,312 of that sum stemming from opponents’ scalps.
Alexander "xBGx" Fitasov and Thomas Hueber found their time at the final table short-lived. Joao Vieira and Ukrainian Andriy Lyubovetskiy joined the ong list of busted names before Dario Sammartino bowed out in third, a finish worth $82,729 with bounties includes.
Barer found himself in the unenvious position of having to battle one-on-one with Isaac Haxton. However, Barer did not let that faze him and he got the job done. Barer’s reward was a huge $173,260 score; Haxton reeled in a $110,667 consolation prize.
Barer went on to take down the $210 Bounty Hunters Sunday Special for an additional $33,392!
