partypoker is one of premier destinations for online poker, and hosts an array of tournament series which attracts players from all around the world.
It is a legal, regulated and trusted online poker room and has wide offering of poker games to play. One of the strongest offerings on partypoker is their tournament lobby, which contains a plethora of events that are perfect for low-stakes and novice poker players.
PokerNews has taken a deep dive into the client and have picked five tournaments under $5 that we think you'll love to play.
The Brawl - $3.30
The Brawl is one of the best-attended poker tournaments that has a buy-in under $5 on partypoker and also features the biggest guarantee - $1,500. The Brawl takes place every Friday and Saturday and gets underway at 7:05 p.m. GMT on both occasions.
It is a Progressive Knockout (PKO), with $1.50 of the buy-in going to the regular prize pool while another $1.50 acts as a player's bounty. The remaining $0.30 goes to the house.
The Brawl is also a single reentry tournament, which will be helpful to those with modest bankrolls. You shouldn't have to deal with players shoving with any two cards which will no doubt inevitably crack the pocket aces that you've been waiting for. Late registration is open until the end of Level 8
The Double Jab - $2.20
Another single reentry PKO tournament that features heavily in the partypoker tournament offering is the $2.20 Double Jab.
The Double Jab is two-thirds the price of The Brawl, so naturally has a guarantee of $1,000. It also mirrors The Brawl's late registration period. The start time for the tournament is 6:05 p.m. GMT and operates from Monday to Saturday.
Players begin with a 50,000 starting stack, which is good for 100 big blinds. The blinds increase every seven minutes which is plenty of time for you to build a big stack!
The Deuce - $2.20
The Deuce is a good old-fashioned poker tournament that plays eight-handed and allows a maximum of one reentry. It also comes with a four-figure guaranteed prize pool ($1,000).
Level duration increases to eight minutes and the late registration period ends after Level 10.
The Deuce often surpasses its guarantee and usually pays out around $190 for first place, which is a welcomed return for a $2.20 buy-in. Those who cannot to commit to all-day sessions will also be happy to hear that the tournament usually lasts for around 6 hours.
The Deuce runs every day of the week and begins 5:35 p.m. GMT.
The Fantastic 4 - $4.40
Another daily event that eclipses its guarantee is The Fantastic 4 - $500 GTD, which is the third PKO tournament to feature on this list. It is often a fast and furious affair, due to the six-minute blinds, and normally concludes after three and a half hours of play.
The $4.40 buy-in makes it the most expensive tournament on this list and is an ideal option for night owls as it has a 9:05 p.m. GMT start time.
Bounties begin at $2.20 and offer the best value for knocking out an opponent. Half of an adversary's bounty will be added to yours while you pocket the rest.
PLO8 Deepstack - $1.10
The fifth pick of the five under $5 series is a bit of a curveball as it is a Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better (PLO8) tournament. PLO8, often referred to as Omaha Hi-Lo or O8, is a split game where players compete for the high and low halves of the pot.
Playing different poker games can help you with your overall poker skillset, and the PLO8 Deepstack is a great way to learn the variant without doing too much damage to your bankroll.
There are plenty of PLO8 options to explore in the partypoker client, so head over there and put 'PLO8' into the search bar and choose which Hi-Lo event you'd like to play.
