December 26, also known as Boxing Day, is traditionally a day spent lounging around eating all the leftovers from Christmas dinner, but not if you a professional poker play. Boxing Day this year saw some huge tournaments running in the online poker world, which resulted in some bankroll-boosting prizes being dished out.
Juan Dominguez was one of those players who got their hands on a massive payout. The Andorra-based Spaniard came out on top of a 57-strong crowd in the WSOPC Series: $25,500 Sunday Million Super HR.
Only the top six finishers won a slice of the $1,425,000 prize pool, so spare a thought for seventh-place finisher Stephen Chidwick. He burst the bubble, and missed out on a $102,281 min-cash. That sum went to Timothy Adams, who was joined on the rail by Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb and Anatoly Filatov. Those busted players saw $136,395 and $181,885 wing its way to their GGPoker accounts.
"spaise411" of Russia saw their tournament end I third place, a finish worth $242,548. Heads-up pitted Dominguez against the in-form "Jerome001." Dominguez got the job done and his hands on the $431,319 top prize, leaving the runner-up to scoop $323,443.
