The 50/50 Series continues at PokerStars with the 50-event online festival heading towards its third and final week. Players hailing from Brazil took down the two biggest tournaments on the second week of action, with each banking more than $14,000 for their $50 investments.
bubbleboybr Binks an 8-Max PKO Event
Event #19 of the PokerStars 50/50 Series drew in 2,801 entries in total, leading to a $127,305 prize pool. Brazilian grinder "bubbleboybr" not only made it past the money bubble but emerged victoriously from the final table, doing so with a cool $14,620 to show for their efforts.
Those who reached the nine-handed final table must have played aggressively throughout because there were some substantial bounty payments made. Eighth place finished "CAMISA1088," also of Brazil, won $777 from the main prize pool but an additional $1,711 worth of bounties, which meant they walked away with more prize money than "mareniuc1984" and "schwalta14" of Germany who busted in sixth and fifth-place respectively.
The eventual champion found themselves heads-up against Ukraine's "Rikaflaren." Both players locked in $7,124 for their efforts, but bubbleboybr added $7,495 from the bounty prize pool to their main prize pool payout.

@tetaschell Takes Down An 8-Max PKO for Almost $15,000
Five of the nine finalists in Event #27 hailed from Brazil, so it was fitting that one of the South American contingents came away with the lion's share of the $128,350 prize pool.
After samba stars "GuileGM" and "Mat.huszcz" crashed out and scooped $1,336 and $1,397, Croatia's Ivan "BanicIvan" Banic followed suit in seventh place, a finish good for $1,916.
Everyone else was now guaranteed more than $2,000 for their efforts, and the prize money continued increases with each passing elimination. "telon567," "tosati's," and Danish player "TchamiLove" all ran out of steam, leaving "@tetaschell" fighting it out three-handed against Finland's "JesseOjala" and Luan "Pseudo Fruto" Felipe.
The latter dusted off their stack in third place and received $6,477 for their efforts. Felipe's exit left @tetaschell as the only Brazilian in the field, and they did not let their country down because they defeated JesseOjala in the one-on-one battle and secured a $14,936 payout. The Finnish runner-up padded their bankroll with $8,166.
