With Bruno "great dant" Volkmann's victory last night, the country of Brazil now has 34 titles in the 2021 World Championship of Online on PokerStars. That's just one short of their own single-series record of 35 with over 100 events still to play.

Bruno "great dant" Volkmann Earns Third Title in WCOOP 63-H: $10,300 PKO High Roller ($331,495)
Brazil's Bruno "great dant" Volkmann won his third World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) title on Monday by taking down the WCOOP 63-H: $10,300 Progressive KO High Roller for $119,620 in prize money and $211,875 in bounties, adding up for a total score of $331,495. Volkmann secured the title after defeating Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph of Germany during heads-up play. For his runner-up finish, Rudolph earned a total of $203,683.
Volkmann already had two WCOOP victories to his name heading into the high roller. The Brazilian pro won the $1,050 NLHE [4-Max] in 2017 for $144,303, as well as the 2018 $2,100 NLHE [Deep Stacks] for $113,252. Rudolph was also searching for his third WCOOP title after taking down the WCOOP 24-H: $2,100 NLHE 6-Max for $71,404 last weekend.
The tournament attracted 123 entries and had a prize pool of $1.23 million, exceeding the guarantee of $1 million. PokerStars ambassadors Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle and Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis were among those in the Day 1 field but couldn't make it to Day 2 as they busted in 23rd place and 26th place, respectively.

After five and a half action-packed hours in the latest PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker 2021 medium-stakes contest, only 16 players remain in contention to win the title in WCOOP-63-M: $1,050 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO]. They have all locked up a portion of the bounty and cash prizes but the lion's share of the $1,930,000 prize pool is still up for grabs.
Latvian player "biezpienelis" leads the sixteen survivors by some margin after they claimed $14,289 in bounties and 170 big blinds to their name on the penultimate tournament day. Another five players have more than 100 big blinds at their disposal including Andrey "Lucky_Jew_17" Parugaev, Guilherme "Guizãoo_" Carmo, "baaaaddyyyy", Day 1 chip leader Sergi "srxakgirona" Reixach, and Eduardo "Eduardo850" Silva.
Sam "SamSquid" Grafton narrowly missed out on the final table in WCOOP 63-L, finishing 21st for over $4,000 in cashes and bounties. Meanwhile, Niklas "Lena900" Astedt is second in chips with a stacked field of 41 players left in WCOOP 68-H: $530 Mixed NLHE/PLO.
