Benjamin Rolle Reels in Near $400K Sunday Score

2023-04-08 14:08:30

Benjamin Rolle reeled in one of the largest scores of his illustrious career when he came out on top in the latest edition of the $25,500 Sunday Million Super HR online at GGPoker.

This week’s tournament drew in a 58-strong crowd, which meant the final seven finishers shared the $1,450,000 prize pool. Spare a thought for Artur Martirosian who finished in eighth-place, burst the bubble, and missed out on a score of at least $74,413.

"spaise422" was the first entrant to receive a payout; they netted the previously mentioned $74,413 when they came unstuck in seventh. Brazil’s Rodrigo Selouan fell in sixth for a $99,231 addition to his bankroll before Ben Heath got his hands on the $132,327 fifth-place prize.

Fourth-place and $176,461 went to Daniel Dvoress with former Team partypoker member Isaac Haxton bowing out in third for $235,314. Haxton’s elimination left former teammate Mikita Badziakouski heads-up against Rolle. The pair struck a deal that meant Badziakouski collected $339,029 for his runner-up finish, while Rolle collected $393,222.

The victory was great timing on Rolle’s part because he and his Raise Your Edge poker training site recently joined forces with PokerStars. Winning almost $400,000 against a stellar field is one way to attract new sign-ups!

The $5,250 Sunday Deepstack HR was another of GGPoker’s high-stakes tournaments that ended in a deal, a three-way chop, to be exact. Only 39 players bought in but the high buy-in resulted in a $200,000 prize pool; the top five finishers secured a slice of the pot.

Dario Sammartino was the first in-the-money player. The Austria-based Italian walked away with $20,735 reasons to be happy with himself. Mike Watson followed Sammartino to the rail, doing so with $27,650 in tow.

Watson’s elimination was the last of the tournament because the final three players struck a deal that saw them scoop similar prizes. The record books will show Elio Fox finished third for $20,175, Marius Gierse was the runner-up for $50,719, and Andras Nemeth was the champion, a finish weighing in at $50,718.
