The Asian Poker Tour (APT) will continue its live circuits in Asia with a live stop at the Corona Casino and Resort Phu Quoc, a popular tourist island in Vietnam not far from the coast of Cambodia. Natural8 continues its partnership with the APT and will be hosting satellites for the APT Vietnam Main Event on its online platform.
Furthermore, Day 1A of the 2 Billion Vietnamese Dong (VND) guaranteed Main Event will also take place on Natural8 on 15th May 2021.
Online Schedule on Natural8
The online schedule of the APT Vietnam Phu Quoc 2021 festival will run from 14th May until 21st May 2021. A total of eight satellites, each with a buy-in of $52, will take place, and two of them are dedicated for the online starting day. They take place on 14th May and 15th May, the latter of which will be held in a turbo format.
Day 1A of the APT Vietnam Phu Quoc 2021 is scheduled to take place at 2.30 p.m. (UTC +7) on 15th May. Each level will last 15 minutes, and the late registration for the flagship tournament of the festival remains open for 90 minutes. The buy-in on Natural8 is $473, which includes a fee of $43.
Except for the turbo heat, each of the satellites on Natural8 will feature at least two guaranteed tickets and levels of eight minutes each. The late registration for each regular satellite remains open for one hour, and players can win their Main Event entries for the live starting days at the Corona Casino and Resort. From 16th May until 21st May, one daily satellite will start at 2 p.m. (UTC +7), which gives players the chance to win their seats for a fraction of the expense.
Live Schedule at the Corona Casino
The live-action on the Vietnamese island will officially kick off on 22nd May with a 1,200,000 VND Main Event satellite and two Side Events. That includes the 55,000,000 VND Super High Roller (~ USD 2,384) and a Welcome Event with a price tag of 8,800,000 VND.
One day later on 23rd May, the second starting day of the Main Event kicks off at noon local time. The 1,000,000 VND fee is waived, and all participants only have to pay the 10,000,000 VND buy-in to take part in Day 1B. The Super High Roller will play down to a winner, and a capped Open Face Chinese Poker Progressive Side Event is also scheduled on the same day.
24th May will feature the last two chances for players to enter the Main Event. Day 1C is scheduled for noon local time and requires 11,000,000 VND to enter. At 6 p.m. local time, the Main Event Day 1D Turbo gets underway with a faster structure.
The following two days, 25th May and 26th May, are dedicated to the conclusion of the Main Event, as well as some side events such as the Head Hunter bounty tournament and a 33,000,000 VND High Rollers tournament.
One further highlight awaits all local poker enthusiasts, and that is the 16,500,000 VND (~ USD 715) Championship Event. It will also feature a guaranteed prize pool of 2,000,000,000 VND (~ USD 86,760), which is similar to the prize money in the Main Event. There will be two starting days—27th May and 28th May—before the event then concludes throughout 29th May and 30th May.

Key Information
Both flagship events use the best stack forward format, and players can forfeit their stacks in order to re-enter before the close of registration. Multiple re-entries are allowed during the registration period. Furthermore, shot clock mechanics are in play across various events in the festival.
A thirty-second shot clock will be introduced once selected tournaments are down to six tables after the close of registration. Five time bank extensions will be granted to all players in the Main and Championships Events, while another five will be granted to the final 8 players. Other two-day and turbo/hyper-turbo events with more than 20 entries will receive between four and two time banks.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age in order to participate. All players that finish in the money in any scheduled tournament will also earn points towards the Player of the Series ranking, which will award further prizes.
