Day 2 Recap
The chip leader coming into Day 2 was Jimmy D'Ambrosio, but he would bust short of the money. Others to do so include reigning Player of the Year champion Brian Altman who was eliminated by Stephen Chidwick, and Ryan Riess who ran kings into the aces of Kathy Liebert.
Daniel Negreanu also bowed out, the former WPT champion tanglign with another as Pat Lyons' pocket aces sent "Kid Poker" to the rail.
Jean Gaspard had lead the field for a period, and burst the bubble by flopping a set of threes to crack the pocket kings of Ting-Yi Tsai. That guaranteed the field $8,915, with Andrew Lichtenberger, Marle Cordeiro and Christian Harder busting just in the money.
Other notable players to cash included Sam Panzica (125th - $9,270), Joe Cada (124th - $9,270), Cliff Josephy (119th - $9,270), Nate Silver (100th - $9,760), Nick Petrangelo (95th - $10,415), Anthony Zinno (93rd - $10,415), Darren Elias (82nd - $11,250), and Chance Kornuth (42nd - $19,920).
The remaining players will return for Day 3 on Tuesday, July 6 at 12:00 pm.
