Knut "Kalthorr" Rysstad, who is part of the GGPoker Twitch streaming team, helped himself to a six-figure score this weekend when he took down the $1,050 GGMasters High Rollers tournament. The tournament drew in 878 players, which left GGPoker nursing a $122,000 overlay, and Rysstad outlasted them all.
Each of the nine finalists locked in $15,393 but nobody wanted to collect that sum because there were six-figure scores up top. Bahar "reallyeasy" Musa was the first finalist out of the door. He was joined on the rial first by Joshua "IyasusSake" Gebissa and then by Shinhan "Sid_Vicious" Kim, who collected scores of $20,292 and $26,749 respectively.
Canada's "EyeOnThePrize" busted in sixth for $35,261 before "yodaaBR" ran out of steam and had to make do with the $46,482 fifth-place prize. Brazil's Luis "IsaVi28" Freitas crashed out in fourth for $61,273.
The final three players paused the tournament clock and discussed a deal. Those discussion bore fruit, and a deal was struck. Yauheni "erogenous" Tsiareshchanka finished in third for $117,602, Alexandre Mantovani was the official second-place finisher and scored $107,158, leaving Rysstad to become the event's champion and recipient of $102,870.

Martirosian Wins Yet Another Major Title at GGPoker
Artur Martirosian is one of the biggest winners at GGPoker; the Russian seems to win every big event that GGPoker runs! Martirosian added the $1,050 Sunday High Rollers Main Event title to his ever-growing list of victories. This latest win came with $91,419 in cold, hard cash.
As you would expect from a $1,050 buy-in tournament, the final table was a star-studded affair. However, the shark-infested waters grew less so when Eduardo Pires, Fernando "fapk" Karam, and Lucio "WizardOfAz" Lima crashed and burned one after another.
"legal" bowed out in sixth before Bruno Volkmann ran out of luck and had to console himself with the $28,909 fifth-place prize. Volkmann also won the $25,500 Sunday Super HR, coming out on top of a 16-player field to scoop $325,000.
China's Shuoqian "raisetwice88" Wang's demise in fourth came with a $38,551 addition to his bankroll, while Vlad Martynenko turned his $1,050 into $51,408 courtesy of a third-place finish.
Heads-up pitted Martirosian against Mexico's Jorge "arqmaniac" Velazquez. Martirosian rarely loses from such a position and today was not one of those rare times. Velazquez collected $68,554 for his second-place finish, which left Martirosian to capture the $91,419 top prize.
