Ian Matakis is a poker player from Minnesota and a WSOP gold bracelet winner that can be seen all over the country on mid-stakes tours and at big events like the WSOP and PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
Matakis won his first bracelet during the 2023 WSOP Online series in the $500 No-Limit Hold'em Bankroll Builder tournament. He continuted to run hot in the opening stages of the 2023 WSOP with a run to fifth in the $600 Deepstack online and top finishes of 9th and 15th in the $1,500 and $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit tournaments, respectively, that put him in the hunt for 2023 Player of the Year.
In January 2023, Matakis finished 13th in the Main Event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
