Antoine Soaut is a French professional poker player best known for reaching both the final table of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and WSOP Europe Main Event during the same year, 2009. Saout has more than $9.2 million in live poker tournament winnings, with cashes dating back to 2008.
Saout was an unknown quantity when he burst onto the live poker scene in 2009. The Frenchman navigated his way to the 2009 WSOP Main Event final table, which in those days paused until November before concluding. While full of confidence with his final table seat locked in, Soaut went on to finish seventh in the 2009 WSOP Europe Main Event in London in September for £114,228 ($188,318). When the November Nine reconvened in Las Vegas for the final table, Saout eventually bowed out in third for $3,479,670, which is still a career-best score for the French grinder.
Amazingly, Saout reached the WSOP Main Event final table again in 2017, but had to make do with a fifth-place finish. Saout collected $2 million for his latest impressive deep run. More recently, in December 2022, Saout was the runner-up in the €5,300 European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague Main Event. He lost heads-up to Canada's Jordan Saccucci but not before striking a deal that earned him €800,000 ($842,815).
