Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet and Andras “probirs” Nemeth have several thousand online poker tournament cashes between them. The pair are legends of the game. Both took down Sunday majors on August 8, Van Fleet at PokerStars and Nemeth at partypoker. Let us take a look at what they won.
A compact yet star-studded field of 82 bought into the PokerStars $1,050 Sunday Cooldown this week, and van Fleet outlasted them all. The PKO event saw some juicy bounties awarded, not least the massive $13,125 that found its way into Van Fleet’s account when he finished in first-place.
A significant chunk of that $13,125 bounty prize was on the head of Brazilian pro Eder “edercampana” Campana who ultimately fell at the final hurdle and crashed out in second-place. Campana padded his bankroll with $9,181 with bounties included.
Others who reached the final table included Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi, Jargo “bungakat” Alavali, and British sensation Conor “1_conot_b_1” Beresford.

Nemeth Takes Down the partypoker Grand
Nemeth’s victory came in The Grand tournament, a relatively new addition to partypoker’s Daily Legends. A field of 228 players reached the final phase of this multi-day event, but none of them could match Nemeth when push came to shove.
The final table was stacked with talent, including Arsenii Karmatckii, Samuel Vousden, Alexander Van Der Swaluv, and Rodrigo Selouan. The latter’s elimination locked in a five-figure prise for the remaining five grinders.
Michael Sklenicka, and Alik Zazian busted. They won $10,520 and $14,304 respectively. Heads-up was set when Hungarian star Marton Czuczor crashed out in third, a finish worth $21,287.
Czuczor’s exit left Nemeth heads-up against Paraskevas Tsokaridis. Nemeth got the job done and his hands on $44,152, leaving Tsokairidis to scoop a $30,818 consolation prize.
