Daniel Negreanu lost his entire stack to Michael Addamo during Level 1 of the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl Monday afternoon. Was his play justified, or should he have folded his hand on the river? Take a look at the following hand and then vote in the poll to have your voice heard.

The sixth SHRB from Las Vegas, hosted at the PokerGO Studio, kicked off Monday with 19 players. Each player began with 300,000 chips and the blinds started off at 500/1,000, giving everyone 300 big blinds right off the bat. Play is scheduled to run until Wednesday, so the tournament is a bit of a grind.

The Hand and a Poll (VOTE!)

During Level 1, Negreanu found himself in a difficult situation. Action folded around to the GGPoker ambassador on the button, who went for a raise to 2,500 with a♥️

Both players watched the flop come out 5♣️

Addamo was done slow playing and was ready to exert maximum value out of his nut-straight. So, he bumped it up big to 36,000 and his opponent made the call. The 5♥️ on the river paired the board, but that didn't stop the 2021 Purple Jacket winner from ripping it all-in for Negreanu's 215,000-chip effective stack.

Facing a difficult decision for his tournament life, Negreanu used multiple time extension chips before he decided on a call. And just like that, he was out $300,000 before the end of the first level. Addamo nearly doubled up to just over 600,000 chips, giving him more than 600 big blinds.

Following his bust out hand, Negreanu took to Twitter to briefly describe the situation, although he didn't provide details on his decision to call off his stack on the river.
